FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
October 21, 2026 — EAST BREWTON, Ala. — Jinks Crow Trial Lawyers represents families who were asked to leave their homes at the Wynnchase and Summerchase apartment complexes in East Brewton after the properties were reportedly damaged during Hurricane Isaias.
The firm is reviewing the circumstances surrounding the damage, the information residents received, and the options available to families. Attorneys Kijana Mitchell and Megan McBride are handling the matter on behalf of the families.
“These families have been through a lot in a very short time,” said Jinks Crow attorney Kijana Mitchell, who represents the families. “Our focus right now is gathering the facts, keeping the lines of communication open, and making sure they understand their rights and the resources available to them.”
Affordable housing is limited in East Brewton and surrounding communities. For families with children, disabilities, limited incomes, or transportation challenges, finding a new place to live after a disaster can be especially difficult.
“We’re committed to working through this carefully and making sure our clients’ voices are heard,” Mitchell said.
Jinks Crow continues to investigate the situation and to advocate for meaningful protections and resources for its clients.
