Kijana Mitchell is a native of Brewton, AL. She is licensed to practice law in Alabama and Florida and is committed to using her legal skills to help those who have been harmed and need assistance navigating a complex system.

She graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Faulkner University’s Thomas Goode Jones School of Law.

Prior to and during law school, she worked as a victims' advocate and as a lobbyist for a statewide advocacy organization. This dual background informs her practice today and provides her with the ability to problem-solve while making people feel seen, valued, and respected.

Her law school journey is marked by academic excellence and leadership roles, including service as a Senior Editor of the Faulkner Law Review, a Ms. JD Fellow, Vice President of the Public Interest Law Foundation, a member of the Ernestine S. Sapp Chapter of the Black Law Students Association's Mock Trial Team, and the Eleventh Circuit Representative for the Federal Bar Association’s Law Student Division, where she helped establish the first student chapter at Faulkner Law. She also served as a judicial intern to The Honorable Kelly F. Pate of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Alabama.

Beyond the courtroom, Kijana is deeply committed to service and giving back to the community. She leads several pro bono initiatives at the firm and is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, where she leads multiple committees and community-focused initiatives.
